Sunrise, Bennington County, Vermont’s Parent Child Center, offers a broad range of educational and support services to families of Bennington County and surrounding areas -–all designed to promote lifelong learning, healthy growth and development. Our mission is “Strengthening Families” which we do by working in partnership with families and with others in the community who share our mission. Sunrise is a partner with the Parent and Information Center of Vermont (PIRC).
Parenting is a vitally important job—and a challenge! For all families there are times when some information, some support, or a little help can be welcome.
Strong support from the beginning, for parents and families of all types, makes a lasting difference. We provide the resources families need to get off to a good start and prevent problems from developing in the future.
Families know best what kinds of services are most useful for them. From high quality early care and education, to play groups, parenting workshops, individual and group support, services for families are shaped by the families’ own needs and desires. They are as diverse as the families themselves and are well-coordinated, comprehensive and cost-effective.
